Hadith 833
It is narrated from Zaid bin Khalid Juhani that he asked Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him): What is your opinion regarding a man who has intercourse with his wife but does not ejaculate? Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) said: He should perform ablution for prayer and wash his private part. Then he said: I myself heard this from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). Then he asked Sayyiduna Ali, Sayyiduna Zubair bin Al-Awwam, Sayyiduna Talha, and Sayyiduna Ubayy bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with them) the same question, and all of them gave the same ruling.
Hadith 834
Sayyiduna Abi (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) about a man who has intercourse with his wife, but he does not ejaculate? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: He should wash the part of his private area that touched the woman, perform ablution, and then offer prayer.
Hadith 835
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by an Ansari man. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent a message to him. When he came out, water drops (from bathing) were dripping from his head. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: "Perhaps we made you hurry." He replied: "Yes, O Messenger of Allah!" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When you are made to hurry or there is no ejaculation, then there is no ghusl (ritual bath) required upon you. In such a case, perform wudu (ablution)."
Hadith 836
A different hadith is also narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: On a Monday, we set out with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) towards Quba. We passed through the locality of Banu Salim. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stood at the door of Banu 'Itban and called out loudly to Ibn 'Itban, while he was with his wife. Anyway, he came out dragging his sheet. When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saw him, he said: We have hurried this man. Then Sayyiduna Ibn 'Itban (may Allah be pleased with him) said: O Messenger of Allah! What is your opinion about a man who has intercourse with his wife but does not ejaculate—what is obligatory upon him? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The obligation of ghusl (ritual bath) is only due to the emission of semen.
Hadith 837
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Ayyub Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The water of ghusl is used due to the discharge of the water of semen.
