بَابٌ فِي الْوُضُوءِ مِنَ الْقَيْءِ وَالْقَلْسِ وَالرُّعَافِ
Chapter on Ablution After Vomiting, Regurgitation, and Nosebleed
Hadith 793
عَنْ مَعْدَانَ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ أَنَّ أَبَا الدَّرْدَاءِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَاءَ فَأَفْطَرَ، قَالَ: فَلَقِيتُ ثَوْبَانَ مَوْلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي مَسْجِدِ دِمَشْقَ فَقُلْتُ: إِنَّ أَبَا الدَّرْدَاءِ أَخْبَرَنِي أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَاءَ فَأَفْطَرَ، قَالَ: صَدَقَ، أَنَا صَبَبْتُ لَهُ وَضُوءَهُ
Ma’dan bin Abi Talhah says: Sayyiduna Abu Darda’ (may Allah be pleased with him) informed me that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) vomited and then broke his fast. After that, when I met the Messenger’s freed slave, Sayyiduna Thawban (may Allah be pleased with him), in the mosque of Damascus, I told him that Sayyiduna Abu Darda’ (may Allah be pleased with him) had informed me that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) vomited and then broke his fast. He said: Yes, he spoke the truth. Then I poured the water for the ablution of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him).
Hadith 794
(وَعَنْهُ مِنْ طَرِيقٍ آخَرَ) عَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: اسْتَقَاءَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَفْطَرَ فَأُتِيَ بِمَاءٍ فَتَوَضَّأَ
(Second chain) It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Darda (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) vomited on his own, so he broke his fast. Then water was brought to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and he performed ablution.
