Hadith 765
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: When any one of you feels some movement in his backside, due to which he becomes uncertain whether he has broken his ablution or not, then in such a case he should not go (to perform ablution) until he hears a sound or perceives a smell.
Hadith 766
It is also narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When any one of you is performing prayer, Satan comes to him to cast doubts and uses various tricks just as a person makes a sound to stop his animal. When that person becomes familiar with him (Satan), he passes wind in his buttocks so that he may put him to trial regarding his prayer. (So remember that) when any one of you feels this, he should not go (to perform ablution) until he clearly hears a sound or perceives a smell.
Hadith 767
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When any one of you is performing prayer, Satan comes to him and pulls the hair at his back, causing the person to imagine that he has broken his ablution due to passing wind. In such a situation, no one should go for ablution unless he hears a sound or perceives a smell.
Hadith 768
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that he complained to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) that during prayer he experiences something (which breaks wudu) and he begins to think that something has actually happened. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: In such a situation, he should not leave the prayer until he perceives a smell or hears a sound.
