Hadith 715
Ubaidullah bin Abdullah bin Umar says: I asked him, "What is your opinion about this, that Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) whether he was with ablution or without ablution, he would perform ablution for every prayer; why is that?" He said: Lady Asma (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated to them that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), whether he was with ablution or without ablution, was commanded to perform ablution for every prayer. But when this command became burdensome for him, he was then commanded to use the miswak for every prayer and was given concession regarding ablution, except if he was without ablution. So Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) thought that he had the strength to perform ablution for every prayer, so he continued to act in this way until he passed away.
Hadith 716
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) used to perform ablution for every prayer. I (Amr bin Aamir) asked: And how did you companions do? He said: As long as we did not lose our ablution, we would continue to perform prayers with the same ablution.
Hadith 717
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Buraidah (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the day of the conquest of Makkah, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed more than one prayer with a single ablution. Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said to him: Today you have done an act which you did not use to do before? He (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: I have done it deliberately.
Hadith 718
It is narrated from Umm al-Mu’minin Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was urinating, and Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) stood behind him with a vessel. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: “Umar! What is this?” He replied: “O Messenger of Allah! It is water, so that you may perform ablution with it.” But the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “I have not been commanded that I must perform ablution every time I urinate, and if I do so, it will become a practice to be followed.”
Hadith 719
It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would come out of the toilet, he would perform ablution.
Hadith 720
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If I did not fear hardship for my Ummah, I would have commanded them to perform ablution for every prayer, to use the miswak with every ablution, and to delay the ‘Isha prayer until one third of the night had passed.
