بَابٌ فِي النَّضْحِ بَعْدَ الْوُضُوءِ
Chapter on Sprinkling Water After Ablution
Hadith 713
عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ حَارِثَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ، أَنَّ جِبْرِيلَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ أَتَاهُ فِي أَوَّلِ مَا أُوحِيَ إِلَيْهِ فَعَلَّمَهُ الْوُضُوءَ وَالصَّلَاةَ، فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ مِنَ الْوُضُوءِ أَخَذَ غُرْفَةً مِنْ مَاءٍ فَنَضَحَ بِهَا فَرْجَهُ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Zaid bin Harithah (may Allah be pleased with him) that in the early days of revelation, Jibreel (peace be upon him) came to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) and taught him ablution and prayer. When he finished ablution, he took a handful of water and sprinkled it over his private part.
Hadith 714
عَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ، أَنَّ جِبْرِيلَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ لَمَّا نَزَلَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَعَلَّمَهُ الْوُضُوءَ، فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ مِنْ وَضُوئِهِ أَخَذَ حَفْنَةً مِنْ مَاءٍ فَرَشَّ بِهَا نَحْوَ الْفَرْجِ، قَالَ: فَكَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَرُشُّ بَعْدَ وَضُوئِهِ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Usama bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that when Jibreel (peace be upon him) descended upon the Noble Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family), he taught him how to perform ablution. And when he finished the ablution, he took a handful of water and sprinkled it over his private part. Thus, the Noble Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) would also sprinkle water in this manner after performing ablution.
