Hadith 660
Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Shall I not show you the ablution (wudu) of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)?" The people said: "Yes, of course." Then he called for water, rinsed his mouth three times, sniffed water into his nose and blew it out three times, washed his face three times, washed his arms three times each, then wiped his head and washed both feet three times each, and then said: "Know that the ears are part of the head. Indeed, I have presented to you the ablution of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)." In the chapter of washing the face, the hadith of Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) has already passed that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) wiped his head once and used to say, "The ears are part of the head."
Hadith 661
Busr bin Sa'id (may Allah have mercy on him) says: Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) came to Maqa'id and asked for water for ablution. He performed ablution in such a way that he rinsed his mouth, put water into his nose, washed his face three times, washed both hands three times each, then wiped his head and washed both feet three times each, and said: "I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) performing ablution in this manner. O people! Was it like this?" They said: "Yes." Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) had this confirmed by a group of his companions who were present.
Hadith 662
Zirr bin Hubaish (may Allah have mercy on him) says: Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) wiped his head during ablution in such a way that it was almost as if drops of water were about to fall, then he said: "I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) performing ablution in this manner."
Hadith 663
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zaid bin Asim (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that he saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) performing ablution in such a way that he rinsed his mouth, put water into his nose, then washed his face three times, after that washed his right arm three times and then his left arm three times, then wiped his head with water that was not leftover from his hands, then washed both his feet until he made them clean.
Hadith 664
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) wiped his head in such a manner that he moved both hands forward and then brought them back. (The detail is that) he started from the front part of the head, took his hands to the nape of the neck, then returned them to where he had started, and then washed his feet.
Hadith 665
Abd Khair (may Allah have mercy on him), while describing the ablution of Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), says: Then he put his hand in the vessel and wiped his entire head once with both palms, then washed both feet three times each, then he said: "This is the ablution of your Prophet, learn it." In another narration it is mentioned: He wiped his head in such a way that he moved from the front part of the head to the back part. But the narrator says: I do not know whether he returned his hands or not, then he washed his feet and said: "Whoever wishes to see the ablution of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), this is the ablution of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)."

It is narrated from their grandfather (Sayyiduna Amr bin Ka'b or Ka'b bin Amr, may Allah be pleased with him) that he saw the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, wipe over his head, until he wiped the back part of the head and, along with it, once wiped the front part of the neck that is connected to it. The narrator said: The back part of the neck is called «قَذَال».

Abu Azhar (may Allah have mercy on him) says that Sayyiduna Muawiyah bin Sufyan (may Allah be pleased with him) described to him the ablution of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). He wiped his head with a handful of water, until drops of water began to fall from his head or were about to fall. In any case, he demonstrated the ablution of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) to them. When he reached the wiping of the head, he placed both his palms on the front part of the head, then moved them over the head until he reached the nape, then brought them back to the place from where he had started.
Hadith 669
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ablution. Imam Sufyan said: It has been seventy-four years since Yahya bin Saeed narrated this hadith to me. After some time, I also asked him about it, and Yahya was older than him. Sufyan says: I heard three hadiths from him. So, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) washed his hands twice, his face three times, and wiped his head twice. Imam Ahmad says: I heard this hadith from Sufyan three times. He used to say: He washed his feet twice, but once he narrated it as: He wiped his head once, and twice he narrated it as: He wiped his head twice.
Hadith 670
It is narrated from Sayyida Rabi’ bint Mu’awwiz (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ablution at her place. She says: I saw that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) wiped over the front and back part of his head in such a way that he passed his hand in the direction in which the hair lay, and he also wiped over his temples and the outer and inner parts of his ears.
Hadith 671
Sayyidah Rabi’ bint Mu’awwiz (may Allah be pleased with her) says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to us, we placed a vessel for him, and he performed ablution three times each (for the limbs), and wiped his head twice in such a way that he started from the back part of the head, and during the wiping of the ears, he put his fingers into the ears, and according to another narration, into the holes of the ears.
Hadith 672
Sayyida Rabi’ bint Mu’awwiz (may Allah be pleased with her) says: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) wiped his head twice with the leftover water from his hands in such a way that he started from the back part and brought his hands forward to the forehead, and wiped over the front and back parts of the ears.
Hadith 673
Sayyida Rabi’ bint Mu’awwiz (may Allah be pleased with her) says: Indeed, the Messenger of Allah FRIEND (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ablution at her place, so he wiped his entire head in such a way that he passed his hand over the top in the direction in which the hair was falling, and he did not move the hair from its form and state.
