Abu Ghatfan, may Allah have mercy on him, says: I went to Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both, he was performing ablution, he rinsed his mouth and put water into his nose and then said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Blow your nose twice," (in another narration: "Blow it well two or three times").
Abd Khair (may Allah have mercy on him) says: We performed the Fajr prayer and came to Syedna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) and sat with him. He asked for water for ablution, so a vessel was brought in which there was water and a basin was brought. Then he poured water on his right hand and washed both hands three times. Then he rinsed his mouth three times and put water into his nose three times, one handful at a time. In another narration, it is mentioned: He rinsed his mouth three times with one handful and put water into his nose three times. Then he washed his face three times and washed his arms three times. Then he put his hand into the vessel and wiped his head once with both palms. Then he washed his feet three times each and then said: "This is the ablution of your Prophet, so learn it."
Sayyidah Rabi’ bint Mu’awwiz (may Allah be pleased with her), describing the ablution of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), says: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) rinsed his mouth and put water into his nose once each.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that when the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, performed istinshaq, he would let water enter his nostrils.
It is also narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "When any one of you performs ablution, he should draw water into his nose and then expel it." (Musnad Ahmad: 7298)
It is also narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "When any one of you performs ablution, he should clean his nose, for indeed Satan spends the night in the nostrils or the roots of his nose."
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Laqeet bin Sabrah (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: "O Messenger of Allah! Tell me about ablution (wudu)." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When you perform ablution, do it thoroughly, pass your fingers between the fingers (of your hands and feet), and when you rinse your nose, do so thoroughly, unless you are fasting."
