Hadith 637
Abd Khair, may Allah have mercy on him, narrating the ablution of Sayyiduna Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, says: He took the vessel with his right hand and poured water over his left hand and thus washed both his palms, then took the vessel with his right hand and poured water over his left hand and washed the palms, and did this three times. Abd Khair says: Each time, before washing his hand three times, he would not insert his hand into the vessel, ... In the end it is: Sayyiduna Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, said: "This is the ablution of the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him."
Hadith 638
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Aws (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) perform ablution and pour water three times, that is, he washed his palms three times. In another narration it is stated: that is, he washed his hands three times. I asked Imam Shu’bah: “Did he put his hands inside the vessel or did he wash them outside the vessel?” He said: “That I do not know.”
Hadith 639
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "When any one of you wakes up, he should not put his hands into the vessel before washing them three times, for he does not know where his hands spent the night." In one narration: before washing once or twice. In another narration: When any one of you wakes up from his sleep, he should not put his hands into the vessel until he has washed them three times, for he does not know where his hand spent the night.
