(الْفَصْلُ الثَّالِثُ فِي اسْتِحْبَابِ الْبَدَاءَةِ بِالْيَمِينِ فِي كُلِّ مَا كَانَ مِنْ بَابِ التَّكْرِيمِ وَالتَّزْيِينِ
The Third Section on the Recommendation of Beginning with the Right in All Matters of Honor and Beautification
Hadith 614
عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُحِبُّ التَّيَمُّنَ فِي شَأْنِهِ كُلِّهِ، مَا اسْتَطَاعَ فِي طُهُورِهِ وَتَرَجُّلِهِ وَتَنَعُّلِهِ
It is narrated from Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), she says: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) preferred the right side in all matters as much as possible, for example: in performing ablution, in combing the hair, and in putting on shoes."
Hadith 615
عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ((إِذَا لَبِسْتُمْ وَإِذَا تَوَضَّأْتُمْ فَابْدَؤُوا بِأَيْمَانِكُمْ، وَقَالَ أَحْمَدُ: بِمَيَامِنِكُمْ))
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "When you put on clothes and when you perform ablution, then begin from the right side."
