Hadith 565
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If I had not feared hardship for my Ummah, I would have commanded them to use the miswak with every ablution, and to delay the ‘Isha prayer until one third or half of the night had passed." In another narration: "I would have commanded them to perform ablution for every prayer and to use the miswak with every ablution."
Hadith 566
A similar hadith is also narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, except that in it: Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, said: "After hearing this hadith from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, I used to use the miswak before sleeping, after waking up, before eating, and after eating."
