Hadith 473
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that he says: I met the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, while I was in a state of major ritual impurity (janabah). Nevertheless, I walked along with him until he sat down, and I slipped away from there, went home, performed ghusl (ritual bath), and then came back to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, while he was still sitting. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, asked: "Where were you?" I said: "You met me while I was in a state of janabah, and I disliked sitting with you in that state, so I went and performed ghusl." The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Subhan Allah! Indeed, a believer is never impure."

Hadith 474
(Second chain) Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) says: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) met me while he was on one of the roads of Madinah, so I slipped away, went and performed ghusl (ritual bath), and then returned to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Then he mentioned a similar narration, except that in this one it is stated: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, a Muslim does not become impure."
