Sayyida Umm Fadl (may Allah be pleased with her) says: I went to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, "I saw in a dream that a part of your body was in my house or in my room, and I became anxious because of it." But the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "If Allah wills, Sayyida Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) will give birth to a son and you will take care of him." So Sayyida Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) indeed gave birth to Sayyiduna Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him) and entrusted him to Sayyida Umm Fadl, and she nursed him with the milk of Sayyiduna Qutham (may Allah be pleased with him). One day, I brought Sayyiduna Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him) to visit the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) took him and placed him on his chest, and the child urinated on the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) chest, and it reached his lower garment. I struck Sayyiduna Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him) between his shoulders with my hand, but the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "May Allah set you right, you have caused pain to my son." Or the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "May Allah have mercy on you." Then I said, "Give me your lower garment so that I may wash it," but the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Only the urine of a girl is washed, and for the urine of a boy, water is poured over it."

(Second chain of narration) It is narrated from Sayyida Umm Fadl (may Allah be pleased with her), she says: Then Sayyida Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) gave birth to Sayyiduna Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him) and he was handed over to me (Sayyida Umm Fadl, may Allah be pleased with her). I breastfed him until the child was able to walk, or (the narrator said) I weaned him. In any case, then I took the child to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and placed him in his lap, and he urinated there. I struck him between his shoulders, but the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "May Allah have mercy on you, be gentle with my child." In this hadith, it is also mentioned: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Only the urine of a girl is washed, and the urine of a boy is sprinkled upon."

(The third chain) It is narrated from Sayyida Umm Fadl (may Allah be pleased with her) that she used to breastfeed Sayyiduna Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him) or Sayyiduna Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him). She says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came and sat down in a place that had been sprinkled with water, and placed him on his stomach, and he urinated on the stomach of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). So I saw that the urine was flowing on the stomach of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). I went towards a water-skin so that I could pour its water over the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), but the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Umm Fadl! The urine of a boy is washed away with water, and the urine of a girl is washed thoroughly."

I saw the urine on the stomach of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). So we rushed towards the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) to catch him, but the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "My son, my son." In another narration it is: "Leave my son and do not alarm him, until he finishes urinating." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) called for water and poured it over it.
