Hadith 427
عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُكَيْمٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ قَالَ: أَتَانَا كِتَابُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِأَرْضِ جُهَيْنَةَ وَأَنَا غُلَامٌ شَابٌّ ((أَنْ لَا تَنْتَفِعُوا مِنَ الْمَيْتَةِ بِإِهَابٍ وَلَا عَصَبٍ))
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Ukeem Juhani, may Allah be pleased with him, who says: A letter from the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, came to us in the land of Juhainah, while I was a young boy at that time. (It was written in that letter:) "Do not benefit from the skin and tendons of carrion."
Hadith 428
(وَعَنْهُ مِنْ طَرِيقٍ ثَانٍ) قَالَ: كَتَبَ إِلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَبْلَ وَفَاتِهِ بِشَهْرٍ ((أَنْ لَا تَنْتَفِعُوا مِنَ الْمَيْتَةِ بِإِهَابٍ وَلَا عَصَبٍ))
(Second chain) Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Ukeem Juhani رضي الله عنه narrates: The Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم, one month before his passing, wrote to us this command: "Do not benefit from the skin and tendons of carrion (dead animals)."
Hadith 429
(وَعَنْهُ مِنْ طَرِيقٍ ثَالِثٍ) قَالَ: أَتَانَا كِتَابُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِأَرْضِ جُهَيْنَةَ قَالَ: وَأَنَا غُلَامٌ شَابٌّ قَبْلَ وَفَاتِهِ بِشَهْرٍ أَوْ شَهْرَيْنِ ((أَنْ لَا تَنْتَفِعُوا مِنَ الْمَيْتَةِ بِإِهَابٍ وَلَا عَصَبٍ))
(Third Chain) Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Ukeem Juhani رضي الله عنه says: A letter from the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم came to us in the land of Juhainah, while I was a young boy at the time. This was one or two months before the passing of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم. It was written in it: "Do not benefit from the skins and tendons of carrion."
Hadith 430
(وَعَنْهُ مِنْ طَرِيقٍ رَابِعٍ) قَالَ: جَاءَنَا، أَوْ قَالَ: كَتَبَ إِلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ((أَنْ لَا تَنْتَفِعُوا مِنَ الْمَيْتَةِ بِإِهَابٍ وَلَا عَصَبٍ))
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Ukeem Juhani (may Allah be pleased with him) says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) wrote a letter to us stating, "Do not benefit from the skin of a dead animal nor from its tendons."
Hadith 431
(وَعَنْهُ مِنْ طَرِيقٍ خَامِسٍ) أَنَّهُ قَالَ: قُرِيءَ عَلَيْنَا كِتَابُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ((أَنْ لَا تَسْتَمْتِعُوا مِنَ الْمَيْتَةِ بِإِهَابٍ وَلَا عَصَبٍ))
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Ukeem Juhani (may Allah be pleased with him) says: This letter from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was read to us: "Do not benefit from the skin and tendons of carrion."
