Hadith 405

عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ: أَتَتِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ امْرَأَةٌ فَقَالَتْ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ! الْمَرْأَةُ يُصِيبُهَا مِنْ دَمِ حَيْضِهَا، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ((لِتَحُطِّهِ ثُمَّ لِتَقْرِصْهُ بِمَاءٍ ثُمَّ لِتُصَلِّ فِيهِ))
It is narrated from Sayyida Asma bint Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with her), she says that a woman came to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "O Messenger of Allah! Menstrual blood gets on a woman," the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "She should scrape it off, then wash it with water, and then she may pray in it."
Hadith 406
عَنْ أُمِّ قَيْسٍ بِنْتِ مِحْصَنٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ: سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ عَنْ دَمِ الْحَيْضِ يُصِيبُ الثَّوْبَ فَقَالَ: ((اغْسِلِيهِ بِمَاءٍ وَسِدْرٍ وَحُكِّيهِ بِضِلَعٍ))
It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Qais bint Mihsan (may Allah be pleased with her), she says: I asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) about menstrual blood that gets on clothes. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Wash it with water and lotus leaves, and scrape it off with a bone."
