Hadith 396
عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: ((إِذَا وَلَغَ (وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ: إِذَا شَرِبَ) الْكَلْبُ فِي إِنَاءِ أَحَدِكُمْ فَلْيَغْسِلْهُ سَبْعَ مَرَّاتٍ))
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When a dog puts its mouth in someone's utensil (and in one narration: drinks from it), then he should wash it seven times."
Hadith 397
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ: وَسُئِلَ عَنِ الْإِنَاءِ يَلِغُ فِيهِ الْكَلْبُ، قَالَ: ثَنَا سَعِيدٌ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: ((يُغْسَلُ سَبْعَ مَرَّاتٍ أُولَاهُنَّ بِالتُّرَابِ))
Muhammad bin Ja'far, may Allah have mercy on him, was asked about the vessel into which a dog puts its mouth. He said: Sa'id, may Allah have mercy on him, narrated to me from Ayyub, may Allah have mercy on him, and he from Ibn Sirin, may Allah have mercy on him, that it is narrated from our master Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "It should be washed seven times, the first time with earth."
Hadith 398
عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُغَفَّلٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَمَرَ بِقَتْلِ الْكِلَابِ ثُمَّ قَالَ: ((مَا لَهُمْ وَلَهَا؟)) فَرَخَّصَ فِي كَلْبِ الصَّيْدِ وَفِي كَلْبِ الْغَنَمِ، قَالَ: ((وَإِذَا وَلَغَ الْكَلْبُ فِي الْإِنَاءِ فَاغْسِلُوهُ سَبْعَ مَرَّاتٍ وَالثَّامِنَةَ عَفِّرُوهُ بِالتُّرَابِ))
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mughaffal (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) initially ordered the killing of dogs, then said: "What is the matter with people and dogs?" Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) granted concession for hunting dogs and sheep-guarding dogs, and said: "And when a dog puts its mouth in any of your vessels, wash it seven times and rub it with earth the eighth time."
Hadith 399
عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ((طُهْرُ إِنَاءِ أَحَدِكُمْ إِذَا وَلَغَ فِيهِ الْكَلْبُ أَنْ يَغْسِلَهُ سَبْعَ مَرَّاتٍ))
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "When a dog puts its mouth into any of your vessels, its purification will be by washing it seven times."
Hadith 400
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ سُفْيَانُ: لَعَلَّهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ((إِذَا وَلَغَ الْكَلْبُ فِي إِنَاءِ أَحَدِكُمْ فَلْيَغْسِلْهُ سَبْعَ مَرَّاتٍ))
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When a dog puts its mouth in any of your vessels, then wash it seven times."
Hadith 401
عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: كُنْتُ عَزَبَ شَابًّا أَبِيتُ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فِي عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ وَكَانَتِ الْكِلَابُ تُقْبِلُ وَتُدْبِرُ فَلَمْ يَكُونُوا يَرُشُّونَ شَيْئًا
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both), he says: "I was a young man without family, and during the Prophetic era I used to spend the night in the mosque. Dogs would come and go (in the mosque), but they would not sprinkle (water) from it."
