Hadith 384
عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَتْ: أَجْنَبْتُ أَنَا وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَاغْتَسَلْتُ مِنْ جَفْنَةٍ فَفَضَلَتْ فَضْلَةٌ فَجَاءَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِيَغْتَسِلَ مِنْهَا فَقُلْتُ: إِنِّي قَدِ اغْتَسَلْتُ مِنْهَا، فَقَالَ: ((إِنَّ الْمَاءَ لَيْسَ عَلَيْهِ الْجَنَابَةُ)) أَوْ ((لَا يُنَجِّسُهُ شَيْءٌ)) فَاغْتَسَلَ مِنْهُ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the wife of the Messenger, Sayyidah Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her), said: "Both I and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) became in a state of major ritual impurity (janabah), so I performed ghusl (ritual bath) from a tub and some water remained. When the Messenger of Allah came to perform ghusl, I said: I have performed (janabah) ghusl with this water." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, janabah does not make the water impure." Or he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Nothing makes water impure." Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ghusl from it.
Hadith 385
عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ بَعْضَ أَزْوَاجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ اغْتَسَلَتْ مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ فَتَوَضَّأَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِفَضْلِهَا فَذَكَرَتْ لَهُ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ: ((إِنَّ الْمَاءَ لَا يُنَجِّسُهُ شَيْءٌ))
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that one of the wives of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ghusl (ritual bath) of janabah, and then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed wudu (ablution) with the leftover water from her bath. When she informed the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) of the whole matter, he said: "Indeed, nothing makes water impure."
Hadith 386
عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَوَضَّأَ بِفَضْلِ غُسْلِهَا مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that Sayyidah Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ablution with the water left over from her ritual bath after major impurity.
