Hadith 376
عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرًا رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ يَقُولُ: مَرِضْتُ فَأَتَانِيَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ هُوَ وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ مَاشِيَيْنِ وَقَدْ أُغْمِيَ عَلَيَّ فَلَمْ أُكَلِّمْهُ، فَتَوَضَّأَ فَصَبَّهُ عَلَيَّ فَأَفَقْتُ فَقُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ! كَيْفَ أَصْنَعُ فِي مَالِي وَلِيَ أَخَوَاتٌ؟ قَالَ: فَنَزَلَتْ آيَةُ الْمِيرَاثِ {يَسْتَفْتُونَكَ قُلِ اللَّهُ يُفْتِيكُمْ فِي الْكَلَالَةِ} كَانَ لَيْسَ لَهُ وَلَدٌ وَلَهُ أَخَوَاتٌ {إِنِ امْرُؤٌ هَلَكَ لَيْسَ لَهُ وَلَدٌ وَلَهُ أُخْتٌ}
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: "I fell ill and the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) came to me on foot, while I was unconscious, so I did not speak to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ablution and poured that water over me, and I regained consciousness." I said: "O Messenger of Allah! What should I do with my wealth, while I also have sisters?" Then the verse of inheritance was revealed: «یَسْتَفْتُوْنَکَ قُلِ اللّٰہُ یُفْتِیْکُمْ فِی الْکَلَالَۃِ» Sayyiduna Jabir had no children, only sisters, «اِنِ امْرُئٌ ہَلَکَ لَیْسَ لَہُ وَلَدٌ وَلَہُ اُخْتٌ»
Hadith 377
عَنِ الْمِسْوَرِ بْنِ مَخْرَمَةَ وَمَرْوَانَ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ فِي حَدِيثِ صُلْحِ الْحُدَيْبِيَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ قُرَيْشٍ قَامَ مِنْ عِنْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَقَدْ رَأَى مَا يَصْنَعُ بِهِ أَصْحَابُهُ، لَا يَتَوَضَّأُ وُضُوءً إِلَّا ابْتَدَرُوهُ وَلَا يَبْسُقُ بُسَاقًا إِلَّا ابْتَدَرُوهُ وَلَا يَسْقُطُ مِنْ شَعَرِهِ شَيْءٌ إِلَّا أَخَذُوهُ
Sayyiduna Miswar bin Makhramah (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Marwan bin Hakam (may Allah be pleased with him), while narrating the incident of the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah, say: The envoy of the Quraysh stood before the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he had seen how the companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) behaved with him. Whenever the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ablution, they would rush towards the water that dripped from his blessed limbs. Whenever he spat, they would move forward to take it, and whenever a hair of his fell, they would catch it.
Hadith 378
عَنْ أَبِي جُحَيْفَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالْحَاجِرَةِ فَتَوَضَّأَ فَجَعَلَ النَّاسُ يَتَمَسَّحُونَ بِفَضْلِ وَضُوئِهِ فَصَلَّى الظُّهْرَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَبَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ عَنَزَةٌ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Juhaifah (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came out at noon and performed ablution, and the people began to touch the leftover water from his ablution. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) performed two rak‘ahs of Zuhr prayer, and in front of him (as a sutrah) was a spear.
