Hadith 322
Yazid bin Hayan Taimi (may Allah have mercy on him) says: I, Husain bin Sabrah, and Umar bin Muslim went to Sayyiduna Zaid bin Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him). When we sat with him, Husain said: “O Zaid! You have attained much goodness, you have seen the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), you have heard his hadiths, you have fought jihad with him, you have prayed with him. Zaid! You have indeed attained much goodness. Zaid! Please narrate to us the hadiths you heard from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him).” He said: “O nephew! I have grown old, and it has been a long time since I kept the company of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and of the hadiths of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) that I had memorized, I have forgotten some of them. So, whatever I narrate to you, accept it, and do not burden me regarding what I am unable to narrate.” Then he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) stood up to address at Ghadir Khumm, which is between Makkah and Madinah, and he praised and glorified Allah, and gave admonition and advice, and then said: “Amma ba’du! Behold! O people! I am only a human being. Soon, the messenger of my Lord will come to me, and I will accept his call. Verily, I am leaving among you two precious and valuable things. One of them is the Book of Allah, in it is guidance and light. So hold fast to the Book of Allah and adhere to it.” Thus, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) encouraged adherence to the Book of Allah and urged regarding it. Then he said: “The second thing is my Ahl al-Bayt. I remind you of Allah regarding my Ahl al-Bayt, I remind you of Allah regarding my Ahl al-Bayt, I remind you of Allah regarding my Ahl al-Bayt.” Husain said: “O Zaid! Who are the Ahl al-Bayt of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)? Are his wives not among his Ahl al-Bayt?” He said: “Indeed, his wives are among his Ahl al-Bayt, but the Ahl al-Bayt of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) are those upon whom charity is forbidden.” Husain said: “Who are they?” He said: “They are the family of Ali, the family of Ja’far, and the family of Abbas.” He said: “Is charity forbidden for all of them?” He said: “Yes.”
Hadith 323
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I am leaving among you two precious things; one of them is greater than the other. The Book of Allah is a rope extended from the sky to the earth, and my progeny, my Ahl al-Bayt. These two will not separate until they both come to me at the Pond."
Hadith 324
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Jibreel (peace be upon him) came to me and said: O Muhammad! Your ummah will differ after you." I said: "O Jibreel! What will be the way out of this?" He said: "The Book of Allah; Allah will destroy every rebellious one through it. Whoever holds fast to it will be saved, and whoever abandons it will be destroyed." He said this twice. His word is true and decisive, and it is not a joke. Tongues cannot fabricate it, its wonders will never cease, in it is the decision of what is among you, and in it is news of what will happen after you.
Hadith 325
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Imran bin Husain (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: The Noble Qur'an was revealed and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) established various ways, then he said: "So follow us, the Companions. By Allah, if you do not do so, you will go astray."
Hadith 326
عَنْ جَابِرٍ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: كُنَّا جُلُوسًا عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَخَطَّ خَطًّا هَكَذَا أَمَامَهُ فَقَالَ: ((هَذَا سَبِيلُ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ)) وَخَطَّيْنِ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَخَطَّيْنِ عَنْ شِمَالِهِ، قَالَ: ((هَذِهِ سَبِيلُ الشَّيْطَانِ)) ثُمَّ وَضَعَ يَدَهُ فِي الْخَطِّ الْأَوْسَطِ ثُمَّ تَلَى هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ: {وَأَنَّ هَذَا صِرَاطِي مُسْتَقِيمًا فَاتَّبِعُوهُ وَلَا تَتَّبِعُوا الطُّرُقَ فَتَفَرَّقَ بِكُمْ عَنْ سَبِيلِهِ، ذَلِكُمْ وَصَّاكُمْ بِهِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ}
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) says: We were sitting with the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), when he drew a (straight) line in front of him and said: "This is the path of Allah, the Exalted." Then he drew two lines to the right and two lines to the left and said: "These are the paths of Satan." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) placed his hand on the middle (straight) line and recited this verse: «وَاَنَّ ہٰذَا صِرَاطِیْ مُسْتَقِیْمًا فَاتَّبِعُوْہُ وَلَا تَتَّبِعُوا السُّبُلَ فَتَفَرَّقَ بِکُمْ عَنْ سَبِیْلِہٖ» (And that, this is My path, which is straight, so follow it, and do not follow other ways, for they will separate you from His way. This He has instructed you, that you may become righteous.) (Al-An'am: 153)
Hadith 327
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "There will always remain a group established upon this religion with the truth; those who oppose them will not be able to harm them, until the command of Allah comes, and they will remain steadfast upon this truth."
