Hadith 176
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Hudhayfah bin Yaman (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) narrated to us two hadiths; I have seen the fulfillment of one and I am waiting for the other. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) told us that "Trust (Amanah) was originally instilled in the hearts of people, then the Qur'an was revealed, and people learned the Qur'an and the Sunnah." Then, while informing us about the removal of this trust, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A man will sleep and the trust will be withdrawn from his heart, and only a faint mark or spot will remain. Then, when the remaining trust is also taken away from his heart, only a blister or swelling will remain, just like when you roll a burning coal on your foot and then see the mark of swelling as a result, even though there is nothing inside it." Then, to clarify, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) rolled a pebble on his foot, then said: "Then people will engage in buying and selling, but not a single one will fulfill the trust, to the extent that people will say: There is an honest man among the sons of so-and-so, (but even this testimony will be such that) people, while praising a man, will say: How strong and independent he is, how clever and skillful he is, how intelligent he is, while there will not be faith in his heart even equal to a mustard seed." Then Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "There was a time when I did not care whom I did business with; if he was a Muslim, his religion would compel him to return my trust, and if he was a Christian or a Jew, the one collecting the jizya would return my right. But in this time, I will only do business with so-and-so and so-and-so."

Hadith 177
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas’ud (may Allah be pleased with him), the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “After thirty-five or thirty-six or thirty-seven years, the mill of Islam will turn. After that, if they (remain misguided and) are destroyed, they will be like those who were destroyed before, and if their religion remains established for them, it will remain established for seventy years.” I said, and according to one narration, Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: “O Prophet of Allah! Including the past or a continuous seventy years?” He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “A continuous seventy years.”

(Second chain) There is a similar hadith, except that in it: Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "O Messenger of Allah! Is the past continuous or is the continuous for such a long period?"

(Third Chain) The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "After thirty-five or thirty-six or thirty-seven years, the mill of Islam will turn. Sayyiduna Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, said: "O Messenger of Allah! Including the past or seventy years continuously?" He, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Seventy years continuously."
