Hadith 114
عَنْ تَمِيمٍ الدَّارِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ! مَا السُّنَّةُ فِي الرَّجُلِ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ (وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ: مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكُفْرِ) يُسْلِمُ عَلَى يَدَيْ رَجُلٍ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ؟ قَالَ: ((هُوَ أَوْلَى النَّاسِ بِمَحْيَاهُ وَمَمَاتِهِ))
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Tamim Dari (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: I said, "O Messenger of Allah! If a person from the People of the Book or from the disbelievers accepts Islam at the hand of a Muslim, then what will be the Sunnah regarding him?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "He will be the most entitled to him in his life and in his death."
