Hadith 11
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Musa Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) stood among us to tell us four things and said: "Indeed, Allah Almighty does not sleep, and it does not befit Him to sleep. He lowers the scale and raises it. The deeds of the night are raised to Him before the deeds of the day, and the deeds of the day before the deeds of the night."
Hadith 12
(وَعَنْهُ مِنْ طَرِيقٍ آخَرَ) قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ((إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَنَامُ وَلَا يَنْبَغِي لَهُ أَنْ يَنَامَ، يَخْفِضُ الْقِسْطَ وَيَرْفَعُهُ، حِجَابُهُ النَّارُ، لَوْ كَشَفَهَا لَأَحْرَقَتْ سُبُحَاتُ وَجْهِهِ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ أَدْرَكَهُ بَصَرُهُ)) ثُمَّ قَرَأَ أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ: {فَلَمَّا جَاءَهَا نُودِيَ أَنْ بُورِكَ مَنْ فِي النَّارِ وَمَنْ حَوْلَهَا وَسُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ}
(Second Chain) The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “Indeed, Allah does not sleep, and it does not befit Him that He should sleep. He lowers the scale and raises it. His veil is fire. If He were to remove that veil, the radiance and splendor of His Face would burn everything that His gaze reaches. Allah’s gaze encompasses all of creation. Therefore, the meaning is that if the veil were removed, all of creation would be burnt to ashes. Then Abu Ubaidah recited this verse: «إِذَا جَاءُوا فَنَادَىٰ مِن مَّكَانٍ قَرِيبٍ بَارَكَ الَّذِي فِي النَّارِ وَمَنْ حَوْلَهَا وَسُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ» (An-Naml: 8) When he came to it, he was called: ‘Blessed is whoever is in the fire and whoever is around it, and glory be to Allah, the Lord of all the worlds.’”
Hadith 13
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “Allah’s right hand is full, continuous spending day and night does not diminish it. Have you considered what He has spent since the creation of the heavens and the earth, yet all that spending has not decreased what is in His right hand. His Throne is over the water, and in His other hand is the scale; He lowers it for whom He wills and raises it for whom He wills.”
Hadith 14
It is also narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "On the Day of Resurrection, Allah Almighty will grasp the heavens and the earth in His right hand and fold them up, and will say: I am the King! Where are the kings of the earth?"
Hadith 15
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I see things that you do not see and I hear things that you do not hear. The sky creaks, and it is right for it to creak, for there is no space of four fingers in it except that there is an angel prostrating there. If you knew what I know, you would laugh little and weep much, and you would abandon enjoying your wives in your beds, rather you would go out to the deserted roads (and wildernesses) and cry out to Allah the Exalted." After narrating this hadith, Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) said (it is apparent that the students of Abu Dharr are narrating about him): "By Allah! I wish I were a tree that would be cut down."
Hadith 16
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Allah Almighty says: O My servants! All of you are sinners, except the one whom I grant well-being, therefore seek forgiveness from Me, I will forgive you. And whoever realizes that I (Allah) have the power to forgive, then seeks forgiveness from Me because of My power, I will forgive him and I will not mind in this regard. All of you are astray, except the one whom I guide, so seek guidance from Me, I will guide you. All of you are poor, except the one whom I make rich, so ask from Me, I will make you rich. Now see, if your first and last, humans and jinn, young and old, male and female, living and dead, and wet and dry, all become like the heart of the most wretched servant among My servants, it will not decrease My kingdom even by as much as the wing of a mosquito. And if this same creation becomes as righteous as the heart of the most pious servant among My servants, it will not increase My kingdom even by as much as the wing of a mosquito. And if your first and last, humans and jinn, young and old, male and female, living and dead, and wet and dry, all gather together and each supplicant asks Me for whatever his desire demands, and I give each supplicant according to his request, it will not cause any decrease in Me. (Understand this by the example that) if a man passes by the seashore and dips a needle into it and brings it back (and sees how much water clings to it and how much is diminished from the sea), in the same way, there is no decrease in My kingdom. The reason for this is that I am extremely generous, full of majesty, self-sufficient. My giving is by My word, My punishment is by My word. In one narration, it is: My giving is My word, My punishment is My word. When I intend something, I only say to it: Be, and it is.”
Hadith 17
(Second chain of narration) The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) narrates from Allah Almighty that Allah Almighty said: "I have made oppression unlawful for Myself and for My servants, so beware! Do not oppress one another. All the children of Adam make mistakes day and night, but when they seek forgiveness from Me, I forgive them and it does not concern Me." Allah Almighty further said: "O children of Adam! All of you were astray except those whom I guided. All of you were naked except those whom I clothed. All of you were hungry except those whom I fed. All of you were thirsty except those whom I gave drink. So seek guidance from Me, I will guide you. Seek clothing from Me, I will clothe you. Seek food from Me, I will feed you. And seek water from Me, I will give you drink. O My servants! If your first and last..." (It is mentioned as in the previous hadith) "...they would not be able to diminish My kingdom in the least, except as much as a needle decreases the water of the sea when dipped into it."
Hadith 18
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would stand for prayer at night, he would recite this supplication: «اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ، أَنْتَ نُورُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَنْ فِيهِنَّ، وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ، أَنْتَ قَيَّامُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَنْ فِيهِنَّ، وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ، أَنْتَ رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَنْ فِيهِنَّ، وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ، أَنْتَ الْحَقُّ، وَقَوْلُكَ الْحَقُّ، وَوَعْدُكَ الْحَقُّ، وَلِقَاؤُكَ حَقٌّ، وَالْجَنَّةُ حَقٌّ، وَالنَّارُ حَقٌّ، وَالسَّاعَةُ حَقٌّ، اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ أَسْلَمْتُ، وَبِكَ آمَنْتُ، وَعَلَيْكَ تَوَكَّلْتُ، وَإِلَيْكَ أَنَبْتُ، وَبِكَ خَاصَمْتُ، وَإِلَيْكَ حَاكَمْتُ، فَاغْفِرْ لِي مَا قَدَّمْتُ وَأَخَّرْتُ وَأَسْرَرْتُ وَأَعْلَنْتُ، أَنْتَ إِلَٰهِي لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ» “O Allah! All praise is for You, You are the Light of the heavens, the earth, and all that is between them, and all praise is for You, You are the Sustainer of the heavens, the earth, and all that is in them, and all praise is for You, You are the Lord of the heavens, the earth, and all that is between them, and all praise is for You, You are the Truth, Your word is truth, Your promise is truth, meeting You is truth, Paradise is truth, Hell is truth, the Hour is truth. O Allah! I have submitted to You, I have believed in You, I have put my trust in You, I have turned to You, I have argued with You, and I have referred my case to You. So forgive me my past and future sins, those I have committed secretly and those I have committed openly. You are my God, there is no deity worthy of worship except You.”
