It is narrated from Sayyiduna Hajjaj bin Amr Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever's bone is broken or becomes lame, he will become lawful (i.e., released from Ihram), but the following year another Hajj will be obligatory upon him. Ikrimah says: When I informed Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas and Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with them) of this, they said: Yes, he has spoken the truth.
