It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Malik Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Four practices of the Age of Ignorance will not be abandoned: boasting about one's lineage, slandering others' ancestry, seeking rain through the stars, and wailing over the dead. If a woman who wails does not repent before her death, she will be raised on the Day of Resurrection in a state that she will be wearing a garment of sulphur or a shirt of scabs.
