Hadith 9991

Narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever’s intercession becomes a barrier to any limit set by Allah, he has opposed the command of Allah. Whoever dies in debt should remember that on the Day of Resurrection there will be no abundance of dirhams and dinars; rather, there will be exchange of good and bad deeds. Whoever knowingly argues in favor of falsehood will remain under the wrath and anger of Allah until he desists. Whoever accuses a believer of a crime that is not found in him will be detained in Radhghatul-Khabal (the pus of the people of Hell) until he withdraws from what he has said.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … It is possible, due to human nature, for a Muslim to make a mistake, and this matter is not greatly subject to criticism, because its effect is eliminated through good deeds or by repenting. However, to deliberately seek to break the law of Allah Ta‘ala is rebellion, and no one tolerates rebellion. If the case of a criminal has reached the court and it has been decided to implement the prescribed punishment (hadd) upon him, then no one has the right to create obstacles in the way of that punishment. This is exactly the case with a dispute in which the disputant knows that he is upon falsehood, yet, driven by the obsession to defend his ego or for some other purpose, he continues the fight.
