عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ ((ثَلَاثَةٌ قَدْ حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمُ الْجَنَّةَ مُدْمِنُ الْخَمْرِ وَالْعَاقُّ وَالدَّيُّوثُ الَّذِي يُقِرُّ فِي أَهْلِهِ الْخَبَثَ))
Narrated by Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There are three persons upon whom Allah Almighty has made Paradise forbidden: one who persistently drinks alcohol, one who is disobedient to his parents, and the cuckold who allows evil to remain in his house.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … A man who does not have protective jealousy (ghayrah) regarding the members of his household is called a "dayyuth." In other words, the meaning of "dayyuth" is one who is without protective jealousy.
