Hadith 9966

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do not face the Qiblah at the time of relieving yourselves, do not withhold (animals') milk to deceive, and do not call out to each other like the shepherds of goats.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … The meaning of the last sentence is that one should speak with seriousness and dignity, and should avoid shouting and raising one's voice. The command of Allah, the Exalted, is: {وَاقْصِدْ فِیْ مَشْیِکَ وَاغْضُضْ مِنْ صَوْتِکَ اِنَّ اَنْکَرَ الْاَصْوَاتِ لَصَوْتُ الْحَمِیْرِ۔} … And be moderate in your walking and lower your voice; indeed, the most disagreeable of sounds is the voice of donkeys. (Surah Luqman: 19)
