عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثِنْتَانِ هُمَا بِالنَّاسِ كُفْرٌ نِيَاحَةٌ عَلَى الْمَيِّتِ وَطَعْنٌ فِي النَّسَبِ
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There are two things found among people which are acts of disbelief: wailing over the dead and casting aspersions on lineage.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … By disbelief (kufr) is meant that these actions are related to the ways and customs of the disbelievers (kuffar) and the period of ignorance (jahiliyyah).
