Hadith 9954

It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), she states that when there was a delay in receiving news, the Prophet would recite this verse of the poet Tarafah (bin Abd Bakri): "Wa ya'teeka bil-akhbaari man lam tuzawwid" (The person will bring you news whom you did not provide anything for).

"Satu bdi laka al-ayyam ma kunta jahilan
Wa ya’tika bil-akhbari man lam tuzawwid"
