حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ عَنْ شَرِيكٍ عَنِ الْمِقْدَامِ بْنِ شُرَيْحٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَ قُلْتُ لَهَا كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَرْوِي شَيْئًا مِنَ الشِّعْرِ قَالَتْ نَعَمْ شِعْرُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ رَوَاحَةَ كَانَ يَرْوِي هَذَا الْبَيْتَ وَيَأْتِيكَ بِالْأَخْبَارِ مَنْ لَمْ تُزَوِّدْ
It is narrated from Shurayh, he says: I asked Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her): Did the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) also recite anyone's poetry? She said: Yes, he used to recite this verse of Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Rawahah (may Allah be pleased with him): "Wa ya'teeka bil-akhbaari man lam tuzawwid" (That person will bring you news whom you did not provide anything for).
