عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ حَتَّى يَخْرُجَ قَوْمٌ يَأْكُلُونَ بِأَلْسِنَتِهِمْ كَمَا تَأْكُلُ الْبَقَرُ بِأَلْسِنَتِهَا
Narrated by Sayyiduna Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The Hour will not be established until there appear people who will eat with their tongues in the manner that a cow eats with its tongue.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … The meaning of this blessed hadith is that people will make earning through the tongue their profession, and with affectation, they will boastfully move their tongues in such a manner as the tongue of a cow is seen moving while grazing.
