Narrated by Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Verily, Allah strongly dislikes among people the one who is eloquent in speech, who (while speaking with affectation and artificiality) repeatedly twists his tongue like a cow chews cud.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Those who, with affectation, speak with a full mouth, bulging veins, wide-open cheeks, and boastful expressions are disliked by Allah Ta'ala. Such people split hairs, engage in pointless debates, interfere in matters beyond reason, exaggerate while displaying eloquence and rhetoric, and revolve around seeking applause from listeners and attendees. Whereas Islamic Shari‘ah prefers simplicity, humility, and a natural manner; the requirement of Shari‘ah is that there should be no excess in word or deed, and all matters should be handled with simplicity.
Honored readers! Perhaps you will agree with us in this matter that affectation, artificiality, and excessive eloquence and rhetoric do not leave lasting effects. It may be possible to receive immediate applause from the audience and to astonish people, but such styles of speech cannot bring about the reformation of people. The land of our homeland bears witness that those who are apparently pious, speak in a simple manner, and fulfill the practical demands of their speech, the general public has ample opportunity to benefit from their addresses. And Allah knows best.
