It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zubair (may Allah be pleased with them both), that he said to Sayyiduna Zubair (may Allah be pleased with him): What is the reason that I do not hear you narrating hadith from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) as Ibn Mas'ud and such-and-such people narrate? He replied: Beware! After accepting Islam, I was never separated from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). The real matter is that I heard this hadith from him (peace and blessings be upon him): Whoever deliberately lies about me, let him prepare his abode in the Hellfire.
