Hadith 9891

عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ((يُطْبَعُ الْمُؤْمِنُ عَلَى الْخِلَالِ كُلِّهَا إِلَّا الْخِيَانَةَ وَالْكَذِبَ))
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: A believer can become accustomed to any kind of action, except for betrayal and lying.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … The meaning of this hadith is that every kind of evil and good can occur within a believer, except for betrayal and lying; that is, these two sins are not befitting for a believer. Therefore, in every circumstance, he should avoid them.
