It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Shall I not tell you what ‘Adh’ is? It is the tale-bearing that people do among themselves. Also, Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Indeed, a person keeps speaking the truth until he is written as a truthful one, and likewise, it also happens that he keeps telling lies until he is written as a liar.
