It is narrated from the wife of the Messenger, Sayyida Safiyyah bint Huyayy (may Allah be pleased with her), she says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was in a state of i'tikaf. I came at night to visit him (peace and blessings be upon him), so I spoke with him, and when I got up to leave, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) also stood up to escort me back. My house was near the house of Sayyiduna Usama bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him). Two Ansaris passed by us, and when they saw the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), they hurried to pass by quickly, but he (peace and blessings be upon him) said to them: "Wait, wait, this is Safiyyah bint Huyayy (who is my wife)." They said: "Glory be to Allah! O Messenger of Allah! (How could we think otherwise?)" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, Satan circulates within the son of Adam like blood, and I feared that he might cast some evil thought into your hearts."

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … In these blessed ahadith, there is a very great lesson that the Noble Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam protected his companions from harboring ill thoughts regarding his own person. In reality, this is the compassion of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam towards his ummah, and he sallallahu alayhi wa sallam took into consideration their best interests and the soundness of their hearts and limbs, so that it would not happen that these two passing men might utter something inappropriate about the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and then destruction would become their fate.

There is consensus among the people of knowledge that harboring ill thoughts about the noble Prophets is disbelief (kufr).

From these ahadith, the lesson is derived that a Muslim should stay away from places of accusation and situations of doubt and suspicion, so that no one gets the opportunity to harbor ill thoughts about him.
