Hadith 9850

عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ((لَيْسَ مِنَّا مَنْ حَلَفَ بِالْأَمَانَةِ وَمَنْ خَبَّبَ عَلَى امْرِئٍ زَوْجَتَهُ أَوْ مَمْلُوكَهُ فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا))
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Buraidah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever swears an oath of trust is not one of us, and likewise, whoever incites a woman against her husband or a slave against his master is not one of us.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … "Amanah" (trust) has various meanings, such as obedience, worship, security, trust, etc. The servant has been commanded to swear by the Names and Attributes of Allah Ta'ala; indeed, amanah (trust) is the command of Allah Ta'ala.
