It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin al-As (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: It is not lawful for any man to cause separation between two people without their permission.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Imam Abu Dawud and Imam Tirmidhi have mentioned this hadith in the context of etiquette of gatherings, that is, when two people are sitting together, it is not permissible for anyone to intrude and sit between them, unless they grant him permission.

The wording of this hadith is general; however, regarding husband and wife, the issues of divorce (talaq) and annulment (khul‘) are separate.
