The warning about considering minor sins insignificant: They gather upon a person to such an extent that they destroy him. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave an example of these sins, saying that their example is like a people who camped in a desert, and when it was time for their meal, one man went and brought a stick, another brought a stick, until enough sticks were gathered for their needs. Then they lit a fire and cooked whatever they had to cook.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam clarified his intent through an example, that the accumulation of seemingly minor sins throughout one’s life can become the cause of a person’s destruction. Therefore, one should avoid every kind of disobedience to Allah. A believer and a Muslim should refrain from disobeying Allah, regardless of whether the sin is minor (saghirah) or major (kabirah).
