Hadith 9819

Narrated from Sayyiduna Ka'b bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If two wolves are let loose among sheep, they do not cause as much harm to them as a servant's greed for wealth and honor causes to his religion.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Greed for wealth and honor causes corruption in a person's religion. A person should strive to acquire worldly wealth and possessions through lawful means, and should cultivate within himself such humility and modesty that he does not desire people to venerate him.
