It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do not be eager to acquire estates, otherwise you will become inclined towards the world. Then Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Barazan, what is Barazan? Madinah, what is Madinah?

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … The meaning and purport of this hadith is that no Muslim should become so preoccupied with the accumulation of wealth and riches that he becomes heedless of religious matters, as is often observed among the wealthy. At the end of the hadith, Sayyiduna Abdullah ibn Mas'ud radi Allahu anhu is admitting that he himself has acquired two properties: one in Madinah and one in Barazan.
