Hadith 9799

وَعَنْهُ أَيْضًا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِنَّ حُسْنَ الظَّنِّ مِنْ حُسْنِ الْعِبَادَةِ
Narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Indeed, having good expectations is part of excellent worship.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … To harbor unnecessary suspicion about Muslim brothers and to base one’s dealings upon such suspicion is sinful. It is a separate matter that a Muslim himself should keep away from situations of accusation and doubt, and should not give anyone an opportunity for bad suspicion.
