بَابٌ فِي أَنَّ الِاسْتِحَاضَةَ لَا تَمْنَعُ شَيْئًا مِنْ مَوَانِعِ الْحَيْضِChapter on the Fact That Istihada Does Not Prevent Anything That Menstruation Prevents
Hadith 978

وَعَنْهَا أَيْضًا قَالَتْ: اعْتَكَفَتْ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ امْرَأَةٌ مِنْ أَزْوَاجِهِ مُسْتَحَاضَةٌ فَكَانَتْ تَرَى الصُّفْرَةَ وَالْحُمْرَةَ، فَرُبَّمَا وَضَعْنَا الطَّسْتَ تَحْتَهَا وَهِيَ تُصَلِّي
Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) also narrates that among the wives of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), there was a woman who suffered from istihada (non-menstrual bleeding). She performed i'tikaf with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) while she continued to see yellow and red blood. Sometimes, we would place a basin underneath her while she was praying.
