It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that a woman suffering from istihada (non-menstrual bleeding) asked about her condition during the time of the Prophet (peace be upon him). Someone told her: "This is a vein that has gone beyond its normal state." Then she was instructed to delay the Zuhr prayer and hasten the Asr prayer and perform one ghusl (ritual bath) for both; and similarly, to delay the Maghrib prayer and hasten the Isha prayer and perform one ghusl for both; and to perform a separate ghusl for the Fajr prayer.
