بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي التَّرْهِيبِ مِنَ الْغَدْرِ وَنَقْضِ الْعَنْهِدِ وَعَدْمِ الْوَفَاءِ بِهِChapter on what has been narrated regarding warning against treachery, breaking covenants, and not fulfilling them
Hadith 9756

وَعَنْهُ أَيْضًا قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ عِنْدَ حُجْرَةِ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا يَقُولُ يُنْصَبُ لِكُلِّ غَادِرٍ لِوَاءٌ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَلَا غَدْرَةَ أَعْظَمُ مِنْ غَدْرَةِ إِمَامِ عَامَّةٍ
It is also narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both), he says: I was near the chamber of Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) when I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: On the Day of Resurrection, a flag will be set up for every deceiver, and there is no deception greater than the deception committed with the great Imam.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … It is a great disgrace that, in the plain of Resurrection, a flag should be planted in a person’s backside before all of Allah’s creation, indicating his betrayal, deception, and breach of trust. Muslims should be conscious of their responsibilities.
