عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا تَبْلُغُ بِهِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ((إِذَا ظَهَرَ السُّوءُ فِي الْأَرْضِ أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ بِأَهْلِ الْأَرْضِ بَأْسَهُ)) قَالَتْ وَفِيهِمْ أَهْلُ طَاعَةِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ قَالَ ((نَعَمْ ثُمَّ يَصِيرُونَ إِلَى رَحْمَةِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى))
It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When evil becomes manifest in the land, Allah Almighty will send His punishment upon the people of the earth. Sayyida (Aisha) said: Even though there are people among them who obey Allah Almighty? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Yes, but then they will be transferred to the mercy of Allah Almighty.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … When the amount of evil increases in a society, the good deeds of a few individuals are not taken into account; rather, the entire nation is destroyed. However, the righteous have been granted this concession that they will attain the mercy of Allah Ta‘ala.
