It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: My beloved advised me regarding five matters: that I show mercy to the poor and sit with them, look towards those who are lower than me (in worldly matters), not look towards those above me, maintain ties of kinship even if they turn their backs, speak the truth even if it is bitter, and that I say LAA HAWLA WA LAA QUWWATA ILLA BILLAAH. Ghufrah’s slave says: To my knowledge, nothing remains among us from these five matters except LAA HAWLA WA LAA QUWWATA ILLA BILLAAH.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … But people did not allow the poor to sit near them, in worldly matters they looked up to those above them, they abandoned maintaining ties of kinship (silah rahmi), and, falling into expediency and flattery, they did not uphold or respect the truth. The slave of Ghufrah spoke the truth when he said that nothing remains except the remembrance of "La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah."
