عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ كَرَمُ الرَّجُلِ دِينُهُ وَمُرُوءَتُهُ عَقْلُهُ وَحَسَبُهُ خُلُقُهُ
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: A man's generosity is his religion, his manners are his intellect, and his lineage is his character.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … A Muslim’s honor does not lie in his forefathers and ancestors, rather it lies in his good character. By adopting this, he can attain a lofty status, and by abandoning it, even if he possesses all other abilities, he can fall in the eyes of people.
