Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Neither can portions of prophethood be constructed from this, nor does this hadith mean that a person possessing these qualities becomes a prophet of the twenty-fifth degree, or that the twenty-fifth part of prophethood is found within him. The following explanations of this blessed hadith can be given: 1. These qualities are the twenty-fifth part of the virtues of the noble prophets. 2. The prophets (anbiya) brought the Shari‘ah (divine law) and invited people towards it; these qualities constitute the twenty-fifth part of that. 3. A person possessing these qualities is deserving that he be honored, and Allah, the Exalted, will clothe him in the garment of piety (taqwa) in accordance with this measure.
In any case, these qualities are so beloved to Allah, the Exalted, that He kept the noble prophets adorned with them; therefore, we too should strive to adorn ourselves with praiseworthy traits (khisal-e-hamida).
