Hadith 9549

Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do not consider any good deed insignificant, so if you have nothing (to give), then meet (people) with a smiling face.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … If we suppose that a person no longer has the strength to perform any good deed, then it is certainly within his ability to meet others with a cheerful face. However, the very act of goodness which the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam declared to be the easiest, today we have reserved it for select individuals, and do not consider every Muslim deserving of our smiles. Every act of goodness is the lost treasure of a Muslim; wherever he finds it, that is where it is most deserving. The demand of the Hereafter is that no distinction should be made between small and great acts of goodness.
