عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ جَاهِدُوا النَّاسَ فِي اللَّهِ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى الْقَرِيبَ وَالْبَعِيدَ وَلَا تُبَالُوا فِي اللَّهِ لَوْمَةَ لَائِمٍ وَأَقِيمُوا حُدُودَ اللَّهِ فِي الْحَضَرِ وَالسَّفَرِ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna ‘Ubādah bin Sāmit (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Strive in jihad for the sake of Allah against people, whether they are near or far; do not care about the blame of any blamer for the sake of Allah, and establish the limits of Allah in residence and on journey.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … The Being of Allah Ta’ala is very great; if a true connection is established with Him, then acting upon these matters becomes easy. In any case, there is a need for an Islamic and firmly grounded temperament, one who possesses the recognition (ma‘rifah) of Allah Ta’ala.
